Puretan's New Standup...The Pyramid!
|
|
Puretan’s new 200W stand up, the Pyramid is available in a 44 or 52-lamp configuration. These units are sure to wow your customers by giving them maximum color in 10 minutes or less!
With the salon owner in mind, easy access and simplicity were the guidelines for maintenance and service. Acrylic shields are used not only for superior UV transmittance and offer maximum protection from injury but also for simple one surface cleaning. A 2-point mounting system for the acrylic shields makes lamp changes quick and easy with no disassembly or aggravation.
A small control box houses all of the main operation components, which can be easily unplugged, and replaced ensuring minimal trouble shooting and down time. A feature found only on the top of the Pyramid!
When the Pyramid is in use, its eye-catching, illuminated exterior changes hue drawing new customers’ attention without saying a word. To further compliment any environment, custom colors and images can be applied to any Pyramid!

Personnel changes at Puretan
|
|
After the purchase of Puretan International, Mr. Cantrell improved his staff of industry professionals. First and foremost, the promotion of Tony Griffin to Vice President of Puretan. Mr. Griffin has been with Puretan since 1998 as Controller for the company, and has been an important key to Puretan’s success.
Another move made was the promotion of Brandon Howell to Sales Manager for Puretan. Howell, who has been with Puretan for 4 years, has extensive knowledge in the tanning industry and his customer first attitude makes him a perfect fit as Sales Manager. Familiar faces also return to Puretan. The return of Matt Dancer and Brian Peterson, round out the rest of the team consisting of Robert Thomas, Travis Snavely, and Jeremy Vaughan. Healthy Exposure

In the July 2005 issue of Tanning Trends Magazine an article titled “The positive side of the sun” states that there may be new evidence that vitamin D may have a roll in preventing certain cancers. “The Associated Press said of the new research on vitamin D, which suggests that several forms of cancers are inhibited by the vitamin: ‘If it bears out, it will challenge one of medicine’s most fundamental beliefs: that people need to coat themselves with sunscreen whenever they’re in the sun. Doing that may actually contribute to far more cancer deaths than it prevents some researchers think.’”
